I think this picture is a "library" picture possibly as early as 1919. The only thing that dates mine is the manuals and colonial price list.
My 1920 set has a different label on the box. See the pictures in my Gallery. I think the wheel card is the same though. Like your set Mike. It certainly uses the same retainers that are quite obvious in the large picture. I wasn't sure from your picture how many small pulleys were on the card (should be 6) however it is more obvious from this picture that there are 3 under each retainer. The arrangement of the parts in the compartments could be anything and may have varied in practice depending who packed them. My screwdriver is missing but I would think it was probably the more universal wooden handle type otherwise the old (el cheapo)flat pressed type would probably still have been in the set. and I would have expected most of the small parts to be in wrappers as shown in this picture.

This set is 1920: look at the lid of the boxes for nuts and bolts (not the same in 1921 and after)
Note the woodhanded screwdriver of this period (very hard to find today) |
