1908-1925 Meccano 3 Model 17 Lever balanced luffing jib crane a.jpg
At the beginning I was a bit baffled by this model, and it took me a while to understand that it works the opposite way as normal: the jib is normally LIFTED, and it needs the action of the luffing mechanism to be LOWERED (provided that there is enough weight on the hoist).
