There lies the fascination: parts which are maybe 100 years appart in one model, and that they macht perfectly! That is what makes a really GOOD system (this also applies to the ubiquitous plastic bricks and Austrian wooden system "Matador").

There's a wide age range between parts in this model, from Meccano's early brass 'Flanged and Grooved Wheels' to Metallus' late production Delrin Pawl.
