Schrauber und Sammler (Constructor and Collector) No.33 Winter 2024

Here is the content: At the beginning, a Christmas-themed report explains why Josef the carpenter has blue hair and a woman in labour serves guests. The little Mignon system makes it possible and the entire nativity scene is described in an unorthodox way. I really enjoyed reading it.

After these rather spiritual celestial matters comes a report on a real celestial matter. The model of the ISS spaceship flies in a bottle and is therefore a bottle spaceship. A supernatural report with a surprising conclusion.

This time Urs from Switzerland has taken two obviously related kits from the GDR of the early 1950s out of his exotic drawer. With these two kits and a Soviet copy of them, however, some things are unclear and confused, so that one can justifiably speak of exotics.

Anyone who knows the little beagle Snoopy is also familiar with his favourite pastime (after lying on his back on his hut): dangerous flying adventures on a Sopwith Camel, which is presented here in a Märklin Meccano model.

In the next report, a Congreve clock is shown as a replica with various construction kit systems. Because of its complex mechanics, the model itself is a challenge to reproduce.

The following is a nice report on the 23rd German annual meeting in Bebra in October 2024. ‘Bebra’ is not just a line-up of metal construction kit models, but a place of longing for friends of metal construction sets. Or something like that. ?

And finally, a photo report from the 23rd German annual meeting. Who would ever have thought that we would meet for 23 years?

My thanks go to all the authors, photographers and, of course, to Gert Udtke, the reliable tracker of spelling mistakes, clumsy choice of words and similar infelicities.

Important note: If you would like higher resolution images, for example to better recognise details of a model, please feel free to send me an e-mail. I will try to help. Unfortunately, the image resolution is somewhat lost here in the magazine.
