34c zinc Spanner, Hexagonal Nut ¼" a/f, cranked, Hex hole and ends, stamping MMIE, top, flat angled end. 74 mm long, 5.64 mm across at crank, 1.54mm thick. I have 16 34c, a pair each from 3X through to 8X, plus Crane & Super Highway Multikits, all shiny zinc but not all the same colour. The 4X bought in 1974 is Triang and has a note about the change to Hex nuts, (I should have bought a 5X - hadn't kept up with renumbering. chronologically, the 6X came next in Dec 1979, and the others from HK in 1981-1983, all Airfix, most with 1974 manuals, and separate lid boxes, but 8X with 1977 Manual, and 3X and 6X have (c)1977 flap end boxes.
