Spanish Magic Motor
On top the 70's Binns Road motor (engraved Made in Japan). On bottom the Spanish 70's motor, found also in French sets (engraved Novedades Poch-Made in Spain). A big difference: they run in opposite directions. The main spring is anchored at the bottom (in the picture) for the japanese one, at the top for the Spanish one, so they are coiled the opposite way. Binns Road version runs clockwise and winds counteclockwise, while the Spanish one runs counterclockwise and winds clockwise. The other well known difference is the the red plastic governor of the Spanish motor.
