Ring feed French Knitting Machine Mk3 - latch-hook gear drive  

This shows the 1" Gear drive to the latch-hooks - it is exactly the same as for Mk1. The 2 1/2" plastic Gear is on the same shaft as the lower 1" Gear here, and is driven by a 1/2" Pinion on the intermediate drive shaft - see the next photo and description.
