20-Green cord in the dark red/green era?  

I guess we have to talk about the possiblity of green cord in the 1927-33 dark red/green period. It comes up now and then enough to consider it. I have heard stories of green #40 cord in these era of sets and/or mixes of red and green. I have not seen any proof in mint sets and it is almost mystical.....But the possibility exists. We see that the sets of the time ARE laced and bundled with a green lacing string. This example is from 1927 and the mintest #5 set in oak box you will ever see! Note the green cord used to bundle the parts. The set is all like this. The cord has a "yarn" look to it. Note the red hanks of cord for the set...
