Meccano Steam Engine made by Mamod 70s  

In 1970 the packaging changed to the dark blue boxes you see here. The engine in this form was discontinued in 1976 after 83,519 had been manufactured. Note the wonderfully non-PC reference on the top of the box to "Mr Dealer". This is one in a sequence of pictures showing three of these engines.

i have a mint example of this engine - except that "Mr Dealer" has torn out the protective part of the box. Inside the box is a November 1977 Mamod spares list.
