1908-1925 Meccano 3 Model 15 Swivelling and luffing jib crane a.jpg
My first thought when I saw this model was: "What? Contrate gears in a 3-set?". Well, yes, then this instruction is from a 1911 booklet, and I realized that from 1908 to 1911 the set had two pieces of #29 (of course key fixed). Till 1912 there also was one piece of the 2h x 5h double angle strip in the set, with the former having from the beginning the part number 46. Another thought was "the rear gear will chafe the flanged plate", until I realized that it´s a 50t-gear. This model is clearly designed to be bolted on a wooden plate, and the set included eight pieces of the (obsolete) #58 wood screw.
