The mechanism to tighten and release the wire slips.

The position of the knife seems to be unaligned with the wire guide.

The knife does not move back and forth smoothly after each link is formed.

The position of the knife to cut off the wire – there is a gap (should it be there or not?) the wire bends rather than cutting it off flush.

The chain produced is stiff and not flexible. (is the die that I'm using too small to make it more flexible?)

In a length of chain 10 links should be produced but only 9 are being formed.
