We are in favour of the gradual adaptation of the Metric system in this country.
Headline starts by saying "Common Sense and the Metric System". It's only downhhill from there: "Division by tens is NOT a natural one, and arose from the primitive habit of reckoning by fingers and thumb." Not the writings from a contemporary, hard-core Brexiteer, but from The Engineering Times, March 1899. -Seems like you guys really couldn't get much more "gradual" than this, without stopping and going in reverse?
