42-#309 coil cheeks
These are made from thick red fibre and basically square. 32mm (1.26") a side. Most are 3.23mm (0.127") thick but it can vary. I have some as thin as 2.97mm. Most appear to be unstamped (early sets anyways). they also show up with a MECCANO stamp in 2 different font sizes.
