Now with the second tray withdrawn, another layer of parts are reveiled but this is were the trouble? starts! The bottom layer looks like a pre1954 set's layout with the 7 blue small parts boxes instead of the 5 gold ones that should be included by 1955...hmmmmmm.....Once again we have a case of Meccano Ltd using up old stock, in this case a 1950-53 oak #10 chest, to sell a post1954 set to the colonies. What would they know......! This happens quite often in transition years with all sizes of sets and accessory sets. Old packaging was used( waste not....) The angle girder stack and the flex and strip plate stacks are sitting on a single card( both missing at the time) Same goes for the small parts boxes.
