Simplified Mechanics Manual C1907

Other than the cover and mention of "Simplified Mechanics" instead of "Mechanics Made Easy" this manual is identical to the last of the MME manuals. When Bert Love wrote the Meccano System he had sight of two copies of this manual both with hand written alterations to pg2 in what looked like Frank Hornby's hand. These alterations changed lettered sets to numbered. The strange thing is that there is no alteration to the content pages at the back and the examples of Simplified Mechanics outfits I have seen are lettered not numbered. Has anyone got a manual where pg2 is not altered?
