This model closely follows Model Plan 147 written by Tony James with the following changes.
The ladder was re-designed using brass sleeves from a Marklin kit as rungs.
I used some non-standard gears in the drive to the deck lift. I could not get the arrangement as specified to mesh satisfactorily. (Doubtless due to lack of skill and/or predision on my part).
I changed the chain guards on the lower deck, using longer angle girders, bt stepping beyond the number 10 set limitation.
I particularly admire the smooth way that the deck lifting mechanism works.
Tony has also used various clever touches throughout the plan.
