Overall view
This FKM is more compact but noiser (due to the gear-ring wool feed) than my previous one but shares many of the same features. It seems just as fast and relaible at speed. I have dispensed with the separate tower for the wool feed. The knitting support (between the latch hooks - essential for continuous motion FKMs - has been bent from four 3-hole narrow strips by bolting paried narrow strips in the central hole at right angles across them and bending each end up at 45 degrees. The central 'hole' is the width of a narrow strip square (as opposed to 1/2" square previously) which permits the latch hooks to be located closer together. This produces knitting that is noticeably tighter.
