The bricks turned out to contain 20 yellow boxes of 12 each hanks of cord! All told, I had over 3300 hanks of cord in this one crate! The bricks represented all of the stock of cord in Canada at the time and the original order from Meccano was from 1961!!!! The bricks had a label on them dated 20 Nov 1961. This must have been, at the time, the largest find of mint cord and maybe still is! He tried for years to sell it by the box and still had this much left 30 years later!
