13-H4-Red hanks 1927-33?

The new painted dark red green era saw the abandonment of all manner of blue cord for red! This typical example of the cord of this era is a hank 4.25" long. Cord is 3 twists of cotton as usual and fairly stiff. The string seems "waxed". It is nom. 1 mm thick. Length is about 166" for these. The red dye used can be a bit "fugitive" as we will see later.
