Roger Beardsley - Sandringham Class B17 Loco
Roger Beardsley brought his 5" gauge Meccano 'Sandringham' class loco.
We set it up on its track across the stage and gave rides to all and sundry behind it - and on one glorious occasion it hauled Roger and myself together.
What did Roger have in it for power? None of your nice modern Mabuchis or Faulhebers or 1072's or the like but 2 E20B's of mid 30's vintage I repeat for you unbelievers - 2 E20b's. And one of them had a loose gear too so only one motor was pulling us both.
