Note 2 of the Parts List was intended to allow considerable freedom in the use of additional parts for the motor, it's mounting and the drive train. We have already had some really creative models but, so far, this has been interpreted very conservatively.

Perhaps the best way to illustrate what I had in mind is to give an example. In the attached motor and drive train, which as yet has no final gear or pulley, everything is additional to the list except the flanged plate, which forms part of the model. The gear, pulley, etc., that goes on the vertical axle and the driven one in the model will also be considered as additional to those in the Parts List.

The 19 and 57 teeth gears in this image are additional parts.

I hope this will unleash a whole new set of ideas, plenty of time to Christmas Eve. Now to get on with the model. Yes, that is a stepper motor!
