Working thru the cheap (but OK) Chinese 240, 600 & 3000 grit 5" diamond wheels on top of the "Enigma" surface plate (to be checked for flatness) to achieve the mirror finish on the feet necessary to slide on the granite. Yup - whilst milling thru the cast iron there were a few porosities discovered. Nothing structurally problematic - just "The Ordinary Eyesore": i. e. DIYSwede's hallmark.
