Model 10.3 Coal Tippler
Model No. 10.3 in the Post-War Series of Leaflets for Outfit No. 10 This model is not quite finished yet but should work. A fair number of modifications have been made, probably the most important being the use of a 5/16" axle for the main pivot. The connection between the platform and the tipping arms has been strengthened and the platform made slightly narrower. It is powered by my trusty, well used, E20R. electric motor, instead of the E15R specified. The instruction leaflet does not mention the need to raise the model above the table to make room for the "coal" to drop out off the hopper. Like the other models in the series, the leaflet appears to have been written by someone who has not built the model and was not allowed to dismantle it enough the photograph many important details properly. This made it quite tricky to build. I will try to list the modifications on Rust Bucket. The plinth is rather flexible so that the model should have been adjusted before the photograph was taken (by Les. Nightingale Jr.)
