Issue 1 builds the first bogie of the crane:

The building instructions are very clear, except for the number of washers to be placed at (a) and (b) : they say 2 or 3 washers at (a) and 1 or 2 at (b). I found that 2 washers at (a) and 1 at (b) was the best for the gears to mesh correctly. Also with this issue:

- a poster showing the whole crane

- an introductory guide (8 pages) describing the Meccano system

- a booklet (24 pages) with several sections :

* building instructions for the crane model

* history of Meccano

* history of the Meccano blocksetting crane

* description of some Meccano parts (here, the bevel gears)

* building instructions for some other models, but the parts needed are not those included in the collection (!?)
