The Engine, Left-Hand Side  

The cooling fan, which is BEHIND the engine, turns but is not powered. Visible in this photo are the cooling water intake, part of the steering column, and the crosswise accessory shaft in front of the engine. That collar is a captive nut for securing the front of the hood.
