Meccano electric locomotive for O gauge from 1924 no. 6 manual with a Pullman Coach
This is my model of an O guage electric loco from a no. 6 manual of 1924 pulling a Pullman coach based on a model from a 1928 no. 5 manual. I had to lessen the height of the loco by two holes as it was not fitting into my wall mounted track. This is powered by an E6 motor that takes the current from the track using obsolete pickup collector part no. 149. I am using obsolete flanged grooved driving wheels, part no. 20, powered with a spring cord on the grooved part of the wheel. I had to increase the height of the Pullman coach to keep it in symmetry with the loco but I had to cut its length by 11 holes or so, as it would have been unmanageable on my O gauge track. The manual model uses two sets of articulated bogeys with four wheels each, but this did not work for me so I reduced these to four fixed wheels.
