This is my version of the Meccano Sports car model 8.16 from a 1948 No. 8 manual built on a modern meccano radio control chassis. I was not sure if this would take the load of the model in the manual, so I have reduced it to about 60% of the original size.I have removed the original wheels of the modern radio control chassis, it was not so easy but I could manage it,and added roadwheels. The rear set are the driving wheels and are coupled from the original driving wheels shaft with a half inch pulley on it driving a two inch pulley with a rubber band.
