NP has added this note:

A lovely feature of this model is the front axle beam.

Terry has sandwiched a stack of carefully curved narrow strips between equally carefully curved regular strips to form the beam.

It therefore has a 'fat' I section.

There are no air gaps between the strips and as Terry admitted this took an absolute age to achieve.

Fabulous.
