Early 1950's 9a box and set restoration

This set was originally owned by me in the late 90's. I sold it and then got it back in 2007 when I started up meccano collecting again after my "break". The set box was pretty rough and the lid did not have it's flanges anymore. Parts are fairly minty. This shows the process I used to make it a bit more presentable. I use Wilablin #532 red buckram paper for the box and Wibalin #588 blue buckram for the small parts boxes.

I have digitally cleaned up the 9a label,
if someone can tell me how to load it on your 'less than friendly website', I will do so

Lloyd, I think Greg uses PVA glue & a wood stick, if you look at this photo, and a few either side of it, it will explain more

I am trying to restoration. The box of a set 9 similar to your 9a..I have bought some red paper which is very near the original covering from Ratchfords book binding supplies in the UK....Could you please tell me which glue you used and the method you use to apply the glue?..the Ratchford paper is quiet firm but seems to wrinkle when the glue is applied....I was thing of using spray mount or applying PVA glue with a small roller with not too much glue ...any help would really be appreciated ...
