English 1926 Nº 3 Repro
As the english 1928 No. 3A came with a complete set of parts of a 1926 No. 3 (instructions manual included) I've decided to give the set a better place than a brown cardboard box. I've found no pictures of this particular outfit, except for an image from the december 1926 catalogue (http://www.nzmeccano.com/image-49175), so better than a reproduction, I'll call it an 'interpretation' of the original box, because everything is guesswork, except for the distribution of the parts.

Seeing the Meccano carton re-interpreted in new condition allows a full appreciation of the "wow" factor it must have created when first bought. It certainly would have been a memorable gift for some lucky boy, and makes an impressive display piece today. |
