Keyway rod  

Keyway rods, part number 230, are a bit scarce but Chris Bourne pointed out that a tri-flat axle can be used instead. Just put a lock nut on a set screw and adjust carefully to allow the collar, or any bossed part, to slide freely. Thumbs up Chris. 👍

Use a shoulder bolt from a 1970s UJ instead of the bolt with nut. It works perfectly.

Sorry - maybe Ok on Meccano but the tri flat system is
bad engineering practice on real machinery.
